Aboutme

francesca di tonno

I was born in Abruzzo, then, Bologna was, for many years, my city of adoption before returning to Abruzzo. At University, I had the opportunity to devote myself to the study of my favourite subjects such as foreign languages and cultures. After BA and MA in Russian Language and Literature, I also obtained a PhD in Comparative Literature at the Doctoral School of the University of Bologna. I spent those years trying to better understand different cultures, not just at the desk but traveling for long periods (and cold winters!) especially in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Between 2010 and 2012, I discovered a passion for Marketing and Foreign Trade and so I started to develop my knowledge in this area by attending courses such as the Master in Events Management and Organization (Professional Datagest, Bologna), Target Russia (ISPI, Milan), Course in Communication in Emerging Markets (Il Sole24Ore, Milan), Master Tem Academy (Ice/ Confindustria, Ancona). Simultaneously, I undertook professional practice and started proposing me right away to companies and institutions as temporary export manager or national and international events planner, and developing the study of markets and business planning.

The experience of the doctorate had left me with the strong attitude to deepen and teach my preferred subjects. In fact, I divide my professional experience into the consulting and training activities. I speak fluently three foreign languages: English, German and Russian. My issues about the cultural relations between Italy and Russia appeared in scientific journals and other media.

I am a freelancer, but constantly collaborate with other professionals and consulting companies in order to provide customers with a good and better integrated services.

I am passionate about the challenges, ideas behind businesses and products, the potential of the students I met and will meet.
